Neymar orders our food. We don’t get any starters but we both have risotto for main and then I ask for sorbet for dessert.

“Don’t you like sweet things?” I ask him as I enjoy the icy cold sorbet.

His eyes burn me. “Yeah, just not anything on this menu.”

“So what would you choose for a dessert, if you could have anything in the world?” I slip a mouthful of sorbet into my mouth and let it melt on my tongue before swallowing the liquid. He studies me intently while he thinks about his choice.

“New York cheesecake.”

“Really?” I ask feeling slightly disappointed. “Out of anything, you would choose that?” I eat more of my sorbet. Turning the spoon over in my mouth and pulling it out upside down. It tastes good, there’s a good lemon kick to it. I watch him looking at me so I offer him some.

He shakes his head. “Wanna shot this Ciroc with me?”

“What about the car?”

“Jay will pick us up.” He shares out some of the Ciroc between our glasses and on his count of three, we drink. The amaretto taste is strong and I can almost feel the alcohol shooting up my veins when it reaches my belly.

“I’m not nervous any more,” I confess quietly, feeling my belly warm.

“Good, wanna finish the tour?”

I nod and he smiles.
